The architectonic solution derives from the difficulty to reach an agreement with the tenants of the market, who were reluctant to leave the building during the construction time.
The project is based on outlining a constructive system which allows to build the new market over the existing market, the latter being able to keep on functioning during the process.
The strategy for this intervention proposes to build a structural facade over which a roof will be construct, which will cover completely the lights of the existing market.
Once the external enclousers are built, the manually and area based demolitions of the previous facades and roof of the building will start. Finally, new floors and installations will be placed.
